The Earth House Project of Minnesota is changing !!
We asked you what we could do to make it a better experience, and you answered with many suggestions. Most of the facilities related improvements are either already in place or will be by the 2021 Gather. But probably the biggest change we are making is in our Mission Statement and our Organizational Structure... While there is still room in our Mission for a brick and mortar Community Center in the Twin Cities, we have listened when you said you wanted more emphasis on the Midsummer Gather and our Mission Statement is being expanded to include the Gather as a separate entity within the organization and not just as a fund raiser for a building. Additionally you asked for more and easier access from locations outside the Twin Cities and we will soon be launching the third part of our new Mission Statement, a Virtual Resource Center which hopefully will include a web based repository, classes, seminars, workshops, and maybe even some concerts. We have already gotten set up with Zoom, and you are all welcome to join us and Rick for Morning Coffee every Tuesday at 8am (Click HERE to Join) .. All these changes require us to make some organizational structure changes. We are currently in the process of updating our bylaws to reflect our new emphasis, and anyone who would like to have input is welcome to join us at the business meetings. In the past, the Vice-chair was in charge of the Gather. Going forward, our Chair will be responsible for the Gather and we are hoping to add 2 new positions to the executive board: Vice-chair or Co-chair in charge of continuing the brick and mortar part of our mission, and Vice-chair in charge of our new web based initiative. If you or anyone you know would like to become more involved in the future of Earth House, please contact our current Chair (soon to be CSO) Chris K. New membership guidelines are also being drafted to make it easier for more people to get involved. Blessings and Light, and we hope to see you all at the next Gather. - Earth House Executive Board
